Brian Shaw brings decades of hands-on flooring experience and industry knowledge to Pioneer Floor Coverings.

Brian's career in flooring began right out of high school, when he started by installing carpet and quickly developed a strong foundation in craftsmanship and attention to detail. From those early days in the field, Brian built a lifelong career in flooring, growing alongside the industry as new products and installation methods emerged.

In the 1990s, as laminate and hardwood flooring began gaining popularity, Brian expanded his expertise through specialized training in both materials. This experience allowed him to stay ahead of industry trends and develop a deep understanding of how different flooring systems perform in real-world applications. Over the years, flooring has remained Brian’s primary profession, giving him a level of knowledge that only comes from decades of on-the-job experience.

In addition to his installation background, Brian is a licensed contractor in wood flooring and has received training in sanding and finishing hardwood floors. This technical expertise gives him a comprehensive understanding of the entire flooring process—from product selection and installation to refinishing and long-term care. He is able to guide customers not only on style and design choices, but also on the practical performance and durability of different flooring options.

After many years working directly in installation, Brian transitioned from hands-on work in 2019 to focus on flooring sales with Pioneer Floor Coverings. This shift allows him to use his extensive field experience to better serve customers, helping them make informed decisions based on real-world knowledge rather than theory alone.

Brian is known for his straightforward approach, deep industry expertise, and commitment to helping customers find the right flooring solution for their needs. His ability to bridge the gap between installation and sales makes him a valuable resource for homeowners, contractors, and builders throughout Southern Utah. Whether working on a simple remodel or a large-scale project, Brian brings practical insight and decades of experience to every customer interaction.
